WELCOME TO D-SINE AFRICA
- WHO ARE WE ?
D-SINE Africa project is won by a consortium of four multi-institutional organizations involving multiple countries (Cameroon, USA, South Africa, and Uganda) and is funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Fogarty International Center (FIC) based in the USA with the University of Buea as the lead institution. The project has multiple Principal Investigators (PIs) with: Prof. Chichom Alain Mefire of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea as the lead Principal Investigator, and Dr Catherine Juillard and Prof. Salome Maswime of the University of California Los Angeles and the University of Cape Town as Co-PIs, respectively.
- MISSIONS AND VISION
The project seeks to create a Data Science Centre for the Study of Surgery, Injury and Equity in Africa (D-SINE Africa) at the University of Buea. The Center shall be responsible for the systematic collection of data on injuries through Trauma Registries in various hospitals in Cameroon in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, Cameroon.
